RSA currently has a full time employment opportunity available for a Therapist position and is seeking applicants with a Masters level psychology, counseling or related degree.

Job Description

Case Load Assignment:  35-45 individual clients with primary case management responsibility to include communicating with probation and parole officers, polygraph examiners and treatment team members; monthly progress report preparation; preparation of discharge summaries; treatment plan development and implementation; case staffings as required; and once or twice monthly individual therapy sessions.

Group Assignments:  Responsible for facilitation of approximately 6 – 8 sex offense specific treatment groups per week.  Groups are primarily psycho educational; however some are process oriented.  Groups are content driven with a pre established curriculum and are time limited, with approximately 6-8 clients per group.  Initially, groups are co-facilitated, however after sufficient training, most groups are individually facilitated.

Agency Treatment Team Participation:  Responsible for weekly participation as a member of the agency Treatment Team.  Responsible for staffing relevant clients on your caseload, as well as contributing to treatment plan development and decision making with other agency cases.

Community Supervision Team Participation:  Responsible for participation as a member of the Community Supervision Team (assigned probation or parole officer, social worker, victim advocate/therapist, polygraph examiner) for each assigned client as required.

Work Hours:  The typical schedule for this position involves 4 ten hour days, Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday.  Evening hours are required, typically involving shifts ending at 8:30 p.m. on three of the four days worked, with one earlier evening.

Supervision:  One hour of licensed supervision provided weekly.  Additional supervision provided through weekly Treatment Team participation.

Training:  On the job training is provided by experienced and credentialed agency staff.  Additional professional training opportunities are available both inside and outside of agency.

Starting Salary Range:  Starting salary range is low to mid to high 30s.  Salary is determined in this range based upon education and experience.  All agency employees must successfully complete a 90 day probationary period before benefit eligibility.  Pay increases are determined based on achievement of treatment provider status with the Sex Offender Management Board (SOMB), as well as the development and achievement of additional competencies.  Performance based bonuses are awarded yearly based upon formal performance criteria rating and review.
